Andrea McCabe, age 83, of Wilmington, DE passed away on October 15, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to William and Rose Skultety. Andrea died peacefully in her own home where she made so many happy memories with her family.
Andrea was a devoted mother, cherished Mom Mom, and loving friend. She loved shopping, craft projects, going out to lunch with her friends, watching the Phillies and planning her next vacation to North Wildwood (her happy place). She worked year-round on crafts to donate to Delaware Hospice for their yearly “Festival of Trees” fundraiser.
Her favorite times were those that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her happiest moments were watching Matthew from the sidelines while he participated in Special Olympics, cheering from the audience for Rebecca singing and dancing on stage, and Facetiming with Bodhi to hear all about his latest favorite toy, movie or lego set.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles who she was lucky enough to spend 40 wonderful years with.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberly McCabe Hurwitz (Stuart), her son Kevin McCabe (Ashley) and her 3 grandchildren, Matthew Hurwitz, Rebecca Hurwitz and Bodhi McCabe.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803). Visitation will begin at 10am with a service at 11am
