Christina Marie Wise, age 68, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.
Born in Chester, PA, Christina moved to New Castle, DE, at the age of 7. She attended local schools in New Castle and graduated from William Penn High School in 1976. In her youth, she found great joy as a member of the marching band and loved attending football games and parades.
Christina attended college at Delaware Tech, where she earned an associate degree. She later dedicated nearly 30 years of service working as an Executive Secretary for various department heads at Delaware Tech.
Christina was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers. She also thoroughly enjoyed taking trips to local casinos. Although limited in her activities later in life, she found happiness watching TV, playing games on her iPad, and taking occasional trips to Battery Park in New Castle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Putney (Bud) and Adelaide (DiMarco) Wise; her sister, Theresa Wise; her brother-in-law, John Devonshire; and her niece, Kathryn Devonshire.
She is survived by her four sisters, Patrice Wise, Dale Devonshire, Ann Marie Messick (Christopher), and Jennifer Schwarz (Eric) and her two brothers, Mark Wise (Patricia) and Jonathan Wise (Janet). Christina greatly loved all her nieces and nephews and took immense joy in watching them grow from babies into young adults.
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Nakia Matthews for all the love and attention she gave to Chris over the years.
