Donna Jean Snyder, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026. She was 82.
Born in Washington, D.C., Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love touched all who knew her.
After retiring from W.L. Gore in 1988, she enjoyed spending time with family and pursuing one of her favorite hobbies, sewing. She was especially passionate about quilting and created many beautiful quilts that will remain cherished reminders of her creativity, talent, and love.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, John Snyder Sr., and her son, John Snyder Jr.
She is survived by her son, Robert Snyder (Cheryl); her daughter, Mary Snyder Walton; her sister, Joanne; her brothers, Jamie and Jay; and her grandchildren, Juliette, Andrew, William, Henry, Madison, Eddie, Jackie, Dustin, and Daniel.
Donna will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and generous hugs. Her arms were always open, her heart was always kind, and her hugs will be remembered forever.
