Bruce Knight, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran and friend passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026.
Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Bruce went on to proudly serve in the United States Army. Following his time in the service, he went on to graduate from the University of Delaware, where he developed a lifelong love for the University of Delaware football. He enjoyed a successful career working in Wilmington, Delaware for the DuPont Specialty Chemicals & Pigments division. He had various assignments in Logistics and Finance.
He loved his home and enjoyed spending time in his flower garden. He also loved to travel and went on many trips and cherished the moments spent traveling with his wife.
For 56 years, Bruce shared his life with his beloved wife, Mary. Their years together were filled with love, family, and countless memories. Mary predeceased him, and Bruce carried her memory with him.
Bruce will be deeply missed by his two children, Stacie and Alan, his daughter in-law Jennifer, and his three grandchildren. He will also be remembered by extended family and friends who he touched throughout the years.
There will be a visitation on October 15, 2026 at 10:30 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808).
