Ray Glen Jones, age 83, of Wilmington, Delaware, formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2026.
Ray attended Mountain City Elementary School and Highland Elementary School in Wilmington, Delaware. He later attended Brown Vocational School in Wilmington, graduating in 1961. Following graduation, Ray joined the United States Air Force, where he served for four years, followed by 22 years of service in the Delaware Air National Guard.
Ray worked for Chrysler in Delaware for many years and later worked for DuPont, where he retired. He was a member of Greenbank Church of Christ, formerly Cedars Church of Christ.
Ray is survived by his wife of 57 years, Suzanne; his daughters, Deborah (Dave), Karen, and Vicki; his son, James (Tina); his two sisters, Lorene and June; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will be held privately on September 4, 2026, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
