With great love and sadness, we share the passing of Steven L. Revels, a devoted brother, uncle, and friend, who passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
“Stevie”, as he was affectionately known, was born to the late Nancy Jean (Long) and William S. Revels, December 11, 1956. He was an extraordinary man whose loyalty, strength, and love shaped the lives of everyone around him. A brother who was a lifelong friend, a steady presence, creating a special bond we will always carry. He had a way of making people feel at ease, and a kindness that touched everyone who knew him.
Retired, Steve was a master carpenter who formerly worked for the DiSabatino Company. He enjoyed creating and building, using his carpentry skills whenever he could. Often one could find Stevie helping a family member or friend with their construction needs. He was always willing to help.
Stevie wasn’t just a great brother he was a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews. A stable presence each niece and nephew could count on. He loved hearing about their adventures, goals and accomplishments, and in return he taught how to face life’s challenges with wisdom, courage and patience, teaching that strength and gentleness work together.
He was a great listener, and his love was often shown through actions more than words, but it was always deeply felt. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and reassurance. The respect was mutual in the way his nieces and nephews would phone during the week or stop by just for a visit. Among his greatest joys, was simply being with the people he loved.
Having Stevie as a brother, an uncle and a friend is one of life’s greatest gifts. He was recently preceded in death by his precious sister, Margaret L. Brown, and his beloved niece Kelly Dawn Diggins; and leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, William “Billy” S. Revels, Jr. (Patricia), Constance “Connie” Ann Grimes (Dennis), Deborah “Debbie” J. Bendistis, Paul D. Revels and Kimberly D. Revels; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Forever loved, he leaves behind a family who loved him dearly, and countless memories to be forever treasured. Stevie’s legacy of love and devotion will continue in all of us who were blessed to call him brother, uncle, friend.
