Thomas H. Smith, Sr. age 84 of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026.
He was born and raised in Lebanon, PA and was the son of the late Elizabeth M. (Ebling) and Clarence W. Smith. Thomas graduated from Lebanon Senior High in 1959. He then received his associate’s degree in engineering from Wyomissing Trade School.
Thomas worked for the Dupont Company at Chestnut Run in the laminating department and retired after more than 25 years of service.
He enjoyed working on classic automotives, especially his 38’ Packard and67’ GTO.
Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas H. Smith, Jr and his wife Kim; a grandson, Christopher Smith; a sister, Patricia Lyford; a niece, Rebecca and her husband Peter along with their daughter, Alyssa and a nephew, Jon Lyford and his wife Heather along with their sons, Caleb and Jonah
Services and burial will be held privately.
