Florence M “Chatty” Dominick passed away peacefully at her home on July 13, 2026. Chatty was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Matthew and Teresa Dominick on December 8, 1921. She would have been 105 years old in December.
Chatty attended Goldey Beacom College after which she worked as a private secretary at the Dupont Company. It was there that she met her long-time friend Bunny Adams. She and Bunny retired together and then went on to work at Stonecroft Ministries in Kansas City, MO as missionaries. Together they traveled the east coast opening Christian Women’s bible groups. When they retired from Stonecroft they settled in Wilmington.
Chatty loved sports, especially tennis. She also enjoyed music and played the banjo and mandolin.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dory and Dommy and her brother Matthew and friend, Bunny. Chatty is survived by her longtime friend Theresa Jaworski and her nephew Eric and her nephew John and her niece Sherry. She is also survived by Bunny’s nephews and nieces Wayne Wheatley (Sheila), Deedy Wilson (Rob), Tommy Wheatley (Kay), Deborah Whitehead (Walt), Karen Wooster (Mike) and Susie Raske (Rob).
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stonecroft Ministries at Stonecroft.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com.
