Patricia Grace Neuhof Bihary (1932-2026)
Patricia Grace Bihary (nee Neuhof), 93, died July 10, 2026 at her home in Wilmington, DE, surrounded by her loved ones.
A lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania, she was born Sept 22, 1932, in Acosta, PA, near Jennerstown and Somerset, to Maria (Possny) and John George Neuhof. She was married July 5, 1952, to John Bihary, a Korean War-era US Marine, of Pittsburgh, where they lived their married lives in Penn Hills, PA.
A 1948 graduate of Boswell High School, she was raised in the rural German immigrant community on her parents’ farm, and later worked a variety of office and administrative jobs in her life, among them for the Rehabilitation Institute of Pittsburgh. Her German ancestry, as well as her lifelong Christian faith, were important to her in her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Lee Bihary-Waltz and her husband Sam Waltz, of Greenville, Wilmington, DE, his family, and several nieces and nephews in the Neuhof and Bihary families.
Preceding her in death were her parents Maria (2004) and John (1996), her husband John (1930-2012), and her daughter Rebecca Susan Bihary (1954-2023). After her husband’s passing, Pat, along with Becky relocated in 2016 to the Pike Creek area of Wilmington to be closer to her family there, given that Becky was lifelong developmentally disabled and still cared for and living with her mother.
In addition, preceding Pat in death also were her brother George John Neuhof (1934-2016), of Jennerstown, PA, and her sister Mary Jane Neuhof Thomas (1930-2017), of Wilmington, DE. Several extended family members of their families survive.
The family would like to thank AccentCare Hospice for their care and compassion for Patsy in particular Trish, Stacy, Alicia and many other for their compassion to Patsy and her family during her transition to her eternal life.
