On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Paulette “Boo” Patricia Davidson, 76, passed peacefully to a better place and is now free from pain. Born in October 1949 at Chester Hospital to Jayne (née Glowacki) and Peter Iacono, she built a life defined by humor, loyalty, and deep connection with others. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 39 years, Andrew S. Davidson; her sister, Lucille Humphrey (John), of Cochranville, Pennsylvania; her nephew, Michael Humphrey (Felicia) and their children, Brayden, Carsyn, and Lincoln; her niece, Christine Baraldi (Peter); her cousins, Joe Mirasola (Beth) and Roseann Davis (Denny); and her dear friend Sherry Simmons, whom she and Andy came to regard as a sister. She will also be remembered fondly by her lunch and phone friends, Donna, Mary, and Barbara, as well as faraway friends Dan and Scott.
Paulette found joy in laughter, listening, good food, and time spent with the people she loved. She and Andy enjoyed traveling when they could and staying active with shows, movies, cruises, and shared dreams. With characteristic wit, she often said someone should write a book about aging that tells you what no one warns you about. She also devoted time to volunteering at the Kutz Home, where she especially enjoyed bringing smiles and laughter to residents.
A 1967 graduate of Claymont High School, Paulette began her career as a receptionist at Children’s Home, Inc. She later joined the Claymont School District, where her warmth and sense of humor helped forge many lasting relationships. Her work continued through busing, Area 1, and ultimately the Brandywine School District, where she served for a total of 32 years before retiring at age 51. She often reflected with gratitude and amusement on the many people she met along the way and the unforgettable stories they shared.
Services will be private. In keeping with Paulette’s wishes, those who knew her are encouraged to keep in touch with Andy, enjoy a dessert in her honor—especially a double scoop of ice cream—and, if moved to do so, volunteer at Kutz Senior Living Home, 704 River Road, or make a donation in her name. She would have loved that.
