Van Tull, Michael

Michael A Van Tull was born April 25, 1943, in Georgetown Guyana to the late Maud and Francis Van Tull. He was the last of nine children, Waveney, Vera, Macenus, Maurice, Fredrick, Berkley, Frank, Maylene, Michael.

Michael attended Moravian Primary School in Georgetown, thereafter, worked for WM Fogarty Store. Soon after he migrated to the United State in 1968, where he establishes his foundation in Brooklyn, New York and worked as a Security Analyist for the financial institution that is now known as JP Morgan Chase Bank NA. In the interim, he moved to Middletown Delaware where he retired in 1999.

Michael passed away at 83, having lived a full and rich life marked by his passion for traveling the world and his dedication as a minister, bringing comfort and guidance to many in his community. His core belief was to help others. His family and friends will remember his kind heart, his cherished birds Stranger and Abel and his favorite saying “Six of this and a half dozen of the next” and his love for food.

Michael leaves to remember him his brother Frank and sister Maylene and many cousins, nieces/nephews and great nieces and nephews. Michael, GOD called you home… you will be dearly missed.

Services for Michael Van Tull will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808).
