Sandra Saienni passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, surrounded by love after a courageous and determined fight. She was a woman of immense heart, compassion, and quiet strength ~ someone who gave deeply to those she loved and left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Sandra had a deep love for nature and found joy in life’s simple, beautiful moments. Whether she was tending to her garden, capturing the world through her photography, spending time with animals, or simply just being surrounded by those she loved. She lived with intention and appreciation. Her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched many lives.
Sandra is survived by her devoted wife, Donna Galliani, who shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories over the years. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Michael Saienni (Mable); her dear Aunty Mary and Uncle Franky; her cousin, Lynn Bloom (David); in-laws Theresa and Robert Land; her nieces, Alex (Max), Natasha (Dan), Jackie, Amanda (Cal); and her nephews, Nicolas, Nate, Joshua (Kelly), Christopher (Kaia), and Malachi.
In addition to her parents, Richard and Gail Saienni; she was preceded by her brother, Richard Saienni; her sister, Cynthia Amalfitano; and her sister-in-law, Cherie Galliani.
She will be remembered for her big heart, her resilience, strength, courage, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Sandra’s presence was a gift, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, from 1:30pm - 3:30pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at a later date.
