Griffith, Nancy A.

Nancy (Zill) Griffith, a devoted community leader, passionate sports enthusiast, and beloved family matriarch, passed away May 21, 2026 leaving behind a rich legacy of service, faith, and love.

Born in Philadelphia in 1934, Nancy was raised in Trevose, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Lower Moreland High School. Throughout her vibrant life, she dedicated her time and energy to enriching the lives of those around her.

A Life of Service and Faith

Nancy was a pillar of her community, marked by her incredible 36-year journey with the Girl Scouts, where she grew from a Brownie into an inspiring troop leader. Her faith was equally central to her life; as an active member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, she served on numerous committees, spent 20 years as a volunteer coordinator, and was a proud original member of the church’s bell choir.

Passion for Community and Sport

An energetic and enthusiastic individual, Nancy loved staying active. She was a long-time member of the DuPont Country Club, where she spent many happy hours playing tennis and golf. Her love for sports extended across many disciplines, from local bowling leagues and biking to participating in YMCA aquatics.

Family Legacy

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Griffith, and her cherished son, Stephen Griffith.

Her memory will be kept alive by her surviving daughter, Tammy (Griffith) Harris, along with her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

A memorial service will be held at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd on Friday, May 29th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the church.
