Heath, Blake E.

Blake E. Heath, age 69, of Elsmere, Delaware, formerly of High Ridge, Missouri, passed away on April 2, 2026, at AccentCare at Christiana Hospital.

Blake was a graduate of Potosi High School in Potosi, Missouri, Class of 1974, where he proudly played football and ran track. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably for four years. During his service, Blake earned the Rifle Expert designation and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

After his military service, Blake was employed at the Hercules Chemical Plant in Middletown, Delaware. Due to a work-related back injury, he later retired on Social Security Disability.

Blake was a member of the Pockets pool group and enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life. He loved riding motorcycles whenever he was able, was a devoted fan of Star Trek, and enjoyed watching American Pickers. Blake also loved bowling and proudly achieved a perfect 300 game, earning a ring. He enjoyed playing in pool leagues, card games with friends, trips to the beach, and playing carnival games—especially when he won prizes.

Blake was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Theresa Heath; his brother, Michael Paul Heath; and his sisters, Teri (Heath) Henery, Sharon (Heath) Gore, and Joyce Heath.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (Blankenhorn) Heath; his sons, Jonathan Heath and Adam Heath; his daughter-in-law, Liz Heath; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Alex, Owen, and Tara Heath. He is also survived by his daughter, Tara Govro; her children, Gavin Heath and Sierra Finchem; and Sierra’s children, Goldie and Dodge. Additional survivors include his sisters, Barbara (Heath) Lindell and her husband, Tony, and family, and Linda (Heath) Boyer and family, and Carol (Heath) Reinschmidt and family; his brother, Timothy Heath and his wife, Cheryl, and family; as well as Debbie Heath and her children, Nikki Landoll and Michael Heath Jr., and their families, along with many extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, Delaware. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Blake’s honor to Faithful Friends or the Delaware SPCA.
