Carl H. Walling, Jr., age 80, of Landenberg, PA, passed on February 26, 2026. He was born in Revere, MA and grew up in Brookhaven, PA where he was a member of the first graduating class of Sun Valley High School (’63). After high school he attended PMC (Widner) and graduated with a degree in engineering. Carl then went to work for Dupont as an engineer, serving in many positions around the US and Mexico. He remained with the company his entire 39-year career. He was a member of Christ Church Christiana Hundred in Greenville, DE.
Carl is survived by his wife of 58-years, Barbara; his sons, Carl (Emily) and Ray; and his brothers, Michael and John. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Carl Walling. Services will be private. Interment will be at Christ Church in the All Saints Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741).
