Douglas V. Poole, 68, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away tragically in an automobile accident on February 4, 2026, while vacationing in Florida.

Doug grew up in Wilmington and graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in music composition. After many years working in retail, Doug returned to his passion for music, playing piano for numerous senior living communities in the Wilmington area. He was known for his easygoing nature and his wide circle of musical friends. Music remained the thread that ran throughout Doug’s life, bringing him joy and surrounding him with lasting friendships.

Douglas is survived by his daughters, Courtney Fedin (Rick) and Tori Poole; his grandson, Mason; his stepsons, Nicholas Danish and Francis Norris; two step-grandchildren, and his brothers, Kenton Poole (Cindy), Roger Poole (Beth), and James Poole.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myra Jane (Hadfield)Poole; his older brother, David Poole (Jeanette); his former wives, Jackie Smith Poole, mother of Courtney and Tori, and Karen Danish Poole; and his partner, Mariam Castiglione, who passed away alongside him.

Services will be held on February 21, 2026, at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Visitation will be from 2:00–3:00 p.m., followed by a short memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
