Ana Laureano, age 87 of Wilmington DE, formerly of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026 at Sunrise Assisting Living. She was born and raised in Lares, Puerto Rico and was the daughter of the late Juan Rodriguez and Ana Celia Padua.
After becoming a wife and mother, Ana’s most accomplished role was that of homemaker. Later in life she worked as a cashier at a retail pharmacy.
Ana enjoyed the beach, dancing, traveling, crocheting, gardening and sewing. She was a wonderful seamstress. What she loved most was a good cookout surrounded by family and friends.

Ana is survived by her two daughters, Robin Mexia, Cheryl Lundell (Pern III); her grandchildren, Jennifer Ambrose (Spencer), Pern Lundell IV (Jesse) and her great grandchildren, Pern V, Lucas and Story. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by, Stephen Mexia (1st husband) and Arturo Laureano (2nd husband).
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 20 from 10-10:30 am at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pk., Wilmington where a funeral service will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will be at Chester Bethel Cemetery, 2619 Foulk Rd, Wilmington.
