Martin was born in Scranton, PA on July 21, 1937 to Martin and Helen Holleran. When he was a young boy, he and his family moved to Wilmington, DE where he grew up. He joined the Air Force after graduation and served until 1959 when he was discharged due to his mother’s illness, she passed away in 1960. He worked odd jobs before taking a job at DuPont where he worked up to his retirement in 2002. Martin enjoyed watching shows like This Old House, How It’s Made and American Pickers. He was enjoying buying and selling model cars.
Martin was preceded in death by both his parents; his sisters, Margaret Fitzpatrick and Helen Hillis; as well as his son, Daniel Holleran. He is survived by his wife, Janet Holleran; his daughter, Cheryl Joseph; grandson, Kyle Joseph; granddaughter, Ashley Joseph; beloved cat, Bebe; and his nieces and nephews.
Martin wished not to celebrate his death, so there will be a private ceremony at the Veterans Cemetery on March 9, 2026 where his remains will be put to rest at 1:00 p.m.
