Gail P. Arijon, age 74, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Gail was born on February 2, 1951, to the late Robley F. and Rosemarie (Montana) Hession. She grew up in Wilmington and graduated from De La Warr High School in 1969. Among other employers, Gail devoted more than 25 years to DuPont. During her final decade as an IT Contract Administrator, she touched countless lives through her dedication and care for others.
Known for her kindness, quick humor, and unwavering love for her family, Gail had a special way of making everyone around her feel seen and valued. Her warmth, laughter, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her former husband and lifelong friend, Eddie Arijon; her children, Tony Cimorosi, Veronica (Bryant) Westcoat, and Christopher (Maryellen Griffith) Arijon; her grandchildren, Patrick (Samantha) McDonald, Andrew (Helen) Lee, Anthony (Malarie Keagle) Cimorosi, Taylor Cimorosi, and Ryan Westcoat; and her siblings, Eileen (Steven) Hession-Smith and Michael (Tracie Edstrom) Hession. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robley (Robie) Hession, Jr.; and her sister, Sharon (Jim) Lisi.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home and Crematory, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a cause close to Gail’s heart.
