The family of Patricia A. King, age 66 of Bear, DE are saddened at her unexpected passing on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
She was born in Camden, NJ and raised in Beaumont, TX and Newark, DE. Pat was the daughter of the late Leanna J. (McCauley) and David W. Williston. She graduated from Christiana High School. Pat then graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and later received her master’s degree in Taxation from Widner University. Pat became a Public Accountant.
She worked as an accountant for various local businesses until she established her own firm over 30 years ago, DSS International, LLC, in Bear, DE. Pat’s specialty was small business consulting.
She loved all animals, especially cats. Pat’s title of Stepmother, Aunt and Great Aunt meant the world to her.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Nicholas King; two stepchildren, Samuel King and Kearea King; a sister, Cindy Wool (Chris); two nephews, Tom Wool and Zak Wool (Kelley) and a grandnephew, Brennan Wool.
A memorial service is planned for a future date.
