Luke Wooleyhan, age 38, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Wilmington, Delaware. He grew up in the Talleyville area playing baseball and soccer and was a proud graduate of Brandywine High School, Class of 2005.

Luke had a deep love for the game of golf and found peace and joy at the beach. He was a passionate sports fan, especially devoted to Philadelphia sports and Duke basketball, and could always be counted on to follow his favorite teams. Luke valued time spent with family and friends and will be remembered for his quiet presence, loyalty, and the many memories he created with those closest to him. He was also a dedicated and important part of the Lawn Doctor family business, where he worked for 15 years and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jesse and Diane; his brother, Jake (Jessica); and his beloved niece and nephew, Katie and Connor, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his best buddy, his dog, Ollie; his uncle, Mark Smith, and his children, April Smith and Stephanie Scurto; his aunt, Stephanie Olsen, and her children, Nicole Wooleyhan, Tommy Wooleyhan Jr., and Gunner Wooleyhan; and his great-aunt and uncle, Henrietta and Steve Apsley, and Wilson Davis and Beth. Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Jake Wooleyhan and Joan and Victor Macy and James Wrightson; his aunt, Sandy Smith; his uncle, Tommy Wooleyhan; and great-aunts Deborah Bailey and Catherine Skinner.

Family and friends will forever miss Luke, but his memory will live on through the love he shared and the lives he touched.

A service to celebrate Luke’s life will be held on January 8, 2026, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
