Kim, Inyoung

Inyoung Kim, 88, of Greenville Manor, passed away peacefully at her home on December 23. Born on May 18, 1937, in Pyung Yang, North Korea, she and her family moved to South Korea in 1948. She married Dr. Kyo Kim in 1962 and moved to the United States in 1964, where she raised three daughters.

Inyoung was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted Christian woman. She dedicated her life to her family and was known for her masterful Korean cooking, exquisite needlepoint work, and talented sewing and homemaking skills. With her husband, she also enjoyed traveling the world, visiting popular sites and collecting meaningful items from her journeys. In her teen years, Inyoung was an accomplished volley ball player and in her adult life was an avid golfer, hitting a hole-in-one in 1987.

She is survived by her husband Kyo; her children, Joanne, wife of Henry Kolowrat, Audrey Kim, Suzanne Worrell; and her grandchildren Samantha and Alex Kolowrat.

A private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Delaware Korean United Methodist Church.
