Dennis Martin Ruff of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025 surrounded by family.
Dennis learned the plumbing trade from his father and started his own drain cleaning business after high school. Dennis joined Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 74 more than 25 years ago. He spent most of his years at I.D. Griffith.
Dennis loved motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and his family. His kids and grandchildren were his world.
Dennis is survived by his daughter, Jade (Matthew), two sons, Jeremy (Natalie), and Jagger, a sister, Christine (John) and his brothers Fred (Kathy) and Tommy (Colleen), and his two treasured grandsons, Jeremy “J.D” Ruff and Jaxson Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred “Beaver” Ruff and Andrea Griesmeyer.
Dennis was the life of the party and loved being with people. He leaves behind many treasured friends, including his union brothers and apprentices, his fishing club buddies, his many loving cousins and his Read Avenue family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11;00 am on Friday November 14, 2025 at St Matthew’s Catholic Church, Location at 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington DE 19804. Where friends and family may call from 9:00 am – 10:45 am. Burial will be private.
