Michael Howard Yourinson, age 71, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Wilmington Hospital.
Born in Wilmington in 1954, Howard was the son of the late Donald and Jean (nee Truitt) Yourinson. He was a Conrad High School graduate Class of 1972, University of Delaware graduate 1976, and received his MBA from Southern Illinois University. Howard was a Risk Manager for Pepco Holdings and retired in 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughters, Kristin Hofstee and Brittany Yourinson-Gaskill; sons-in-law, Joe Hofstee, and Zack Gaskill; five beloved grandchildren, Peter, Luke, Ellie, Elizabeth, and Jack; his sisters, Donna Reed (Howard, deceased), and Cheryl Mullins (Randy); and many nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews. Howard’s brother, Jim Yourinson (Mary Ann), passed in 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803). Friends may call beginning at 9:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Howard would want donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Tunnel to Towers, or Shriner’s Hospital for Children (all his favorite charities).
