Gerald Gagnon, Jr., 66, died peacefully on September 13, 2025. He was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. Jerry loved fishing, gardening, and coin collecting. He was a diehard Chicago Bears and Phillies fan. More than anything he loved his wife, his kids, and his grandkids.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Debra; his children, Kristine Hendrickson, Shannon Walls (Jeff), Brenda Robinett, Michelle Robinett, and Mike Perdue; his grandchildren, Lauryen, Jeffrey, Stephanie, Joanne, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremy, Lillian, Sofia; his great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jack; his mother, Margaret Gagnon; siblings, Marianne Kesterson (Jeff), Kelly Griner (Ron), Dave Gagnon, Glenn Gagnon (Mary), and Brian Gagnon; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, chosen-brother, and partner-in-crime, Buckwheat Hendrickson (Terry).
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808), followed by interment at Silverbrook Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. For both the viewing and the service Jerry himself wanted to encourage attendees to wear their favorite sports apparel.
