Levanduski, Michele S.

Michele S. Levanduski, age 70, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at Christiana Care Hospital, following her courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Michele was the daughter of the late Michael and Eleanor Sisitka. She moved to Salem, New Jersey at the age of nine, attending St. Mary’s Grade School and later graduating from St. James High School. She went on to earn an associate’s degree in Biology from Mercer Community College in West Windsor, NJ, where she also met her beloved husband of 47 years, Mark.

Michele worked as a sales representative with Rauscher, Pierce, and Refsnes Financial Advisors in Houston, Texas, before later working as a customer service representative with State Farm Insurance, where she dedicated many years before retiring in 2017.

Faith was at the center of Michele’s life. She was a devout Catholic who participated in Bible studies, served as a catechist for children at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Walkersville, MD, and generously gave her time to her parish and community.

Michele will be remembered for her radiant smile, free spirit, and her gift for making friends wherever she went. She loved gardening, crafting, traveling, and spending time with her cherished long-haired dachshunds, Duke and Carrie. Among her favorite memories were family trips and visits to Prague, her favorite city in the world.

She was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Kenneth Sisitka. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Levanduski; her children, Natasha and Eric Levanduski; her younger brother, Michael Sisitka; and many dear friends and extended family members who will miss her deeply.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
