Angela Marie DeMaio (née Catalino), 78, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Gilpin Hall in Wilmington.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Angela dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She retired after 22 years of service at Christiana Care, where she worked as a Medical Records Supervisor, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues for her dedication and compassion.
Angela was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank A. DeMaio; her parents, Thomas Catalino and Lucille (Juliano) Catalino; and her in-laws, Amiel DeMaio and Rita (Falone) DeMaio. She is survived by her loving daughter, Christy DeMaio Ziegler and her husband Andy; her cherished grandson, Evan Francis DeMaio; her sister, Mary Lu Roberts; her brother, Thomas Catalino; her sister-in-law, Karen Stanczak; step-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Angela’s warmth, humor, and generous heart touched everyone she met. She found joy in traveling to Disney World with her family, spending time at the beach with friends, and dancing to music throughout her life. Her kind spirit and natural instinct to care for others made her a source of comfort and light to many.
Angela was a woman of deep Roman Catholic faith and a longtime member of Saint Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, and her life was a reflection of that love and service to others.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
