Kuypers, Marvin T.

In Loving Memory of Marvin T. Kuypers

March 13, 1938 – June 29, 2025

Beloved Husband, Dad, Gramps and Friend, Marvin T. Kuypers, 87, passed away peacefully at home after a prolong illness, on June 29, 2025.Married to the love of his life, Martha Ann (Hess) for 64 years. He was a devoted father of six, and proud grandfather of nine. His greatest pride and joy were always his family. He believed that family was life’s greatest gift. He led with love, taught by example, and wrapped his family in laughter, wisdom, and strength. Marvin dedicated 39 years of hard work to DuPont, where he built lasting friendships and a legacy of integrity. He lived a life full of laughter, faith, and generosity.

He had a heart big enough to fill any room, and a laugh even bigger. Whether dancing to his favorite tunes, coaching basketball, pulling off one of his legendary pranks, or cheering loudly for Marquette or the Green Bay Packers, Marvin’s vibrant spirit was contagious. He lived life fully — never missing a chance to enjoy a round of golf, a joke well told, or a moment spent with those he loved.

His Catholic faith was the foundation of his life, guiding him in both word and deed. Marvin’s trust in God never wavered, and he passed on those values of compassion and grace to his children and grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Ancestry Nurses and Christiana Care at Home whose care, compassion, and love made all the difference during Marvin’s illness.

In honor of Marvin’s life and generous spirit, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org or Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road
Newark, DE 19713, www.littlesistersofthepoordelaware.org/donate/ — two causes dear to his heart.

Marvin laughed loud, loved big, and lived well. His legacy is not just in the stories we tell, but in the lives he touched so deeply. He will be missed beyond words, but his light will live on in each of us.
