Jean Claudette Williams-Jones, age 89, of Wilmington Delaware, died peacefully surrounded by family on June 27th, 2025
Jean was born July 22nd, 1935, in Darby, Pennsylvania to Clyde and Anna Grubb.
Known by her friends as Jeannie, she graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1953 and kept in close touch with her high school friends for the last 70 plus years. Jean had an active social life with frequent trips to the beach, Disney World, and many evenings at the Hunters Den until its closing. Even in later years, Jean went out often with friends to eat and share news about their life and families.
Jean is survived by her 2 sons, John (Diana) and Kenneth, her grandchildren, David, Jeremiah, Denise, Jesse, Chris and Sean (Erica) and her great-grandchildren Alexis, Benjamin, Madison, Colton, Oliver and Chloe.
Family and Friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 6-8pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE. Funeral services will be private.
