Leonard George Stanley age 60, born in Wilmington Delaware February 22,1965 the Lord called him home on May 7, 2025
Leonard was raised in Maryland by his parents the late Arthur and Bessie Stanley and one brother that he loved very dearly the late Arthur Stanley.
Leonard was a beloved husband , father and grandfather. He loved the Lord. He worked in the paving business all his life; he loved what he did especially when having his sons alongside him Leonard took pride in it. Leonard was a hard worker even down to his last days. “Couldn’t hold a good man down”. If you knew Leonard you know he was a cowboy at heart and never went without his cowboy boots those alone could tell a story they were a true piece of him.
Leonard survived by his wife Emma Stanley and 7 children Lenny , Bessie (Roudie) , Richard (Delilah) , Liza (London) , Jimmy (Lexy) , Dillion , Taya (Andy) and 9 grandchildren. Leonard was loved by all and will always have a special place in each of their hearts for him.

Viewing will be held on Friday May 16, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home 3710 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington DE 19808 followed by the burial at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington Delaware 19805.
