Kathleen Smyth Rusinak Tentor, age 90, expired on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Oxford, PA. She was the daughter of Paul A. Smyth and Marion Rumsey Smyth, both deceased and the wife of Albert S. Rusinak, deceased after 41 years of marriage. She is survived by her children: Stephen P. Rusinak, David G. & Angela Rusinak and Beth Ann & Frank William Morris, Jr.; three grandchildren: Mathew & Kelly Rusinak, Kaitlin & Adam Ardry and Katrina Dougherty and her fiancé Richard (Hank) Steinmiller. Kathleen had four great-grandchildren: Madison, Ella, James and Eleanore.
Kathleen graduated from Widener University and was employed by Boeing, Delaware County Juvenile Court and FMC Corporation. She enjoyed reading, crabbing, boating, Bridge and writing poetry- many of her poems are housed in the Library of Congress.
Kathleen remarried in 1997 and moved to Niskayuna, NY with her husband Richard M. Tentor. She enjoyed an additional 23 years of marriage where she traveled, spent summers at the shore and developed lifelong friendships in Niskayuna, NY, Long Beach Island, NJ and Hockessin, DE. With her second marriage, her family grew with the addition of two stepsons: Martin R. & Pam Tentor and Lawrence B. and Carla Tentor; six grandchildren: Katrina & Matthew Lallier, Kimberly & Ian Peck, Zachary Tentor, Meredith Tentor, Molly & Evan Burke and Morgan Crews; six great grandchildren: Madeline, Elizabeth, Emma, Cameron, Cayden and Colton.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, from 10-11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA 19070. A Mass of Christian Burial will then be celebrated at 11 am at the church. Christian Burial will follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
