Martha B. Gregg, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2023.
She was born in Louisville, KY and raised in Lewes, DE. Martha was the daughter of the late Anna (Thias) and Emil Brugge. She graduated from Lewes HS and later receive a degree at Goldey-Beacom School of Business. Martha worked at Goldey-Beacom, Brandywine College and retired from the Dupont Company after 25 years.
Martha was a long-time and very active member at Faith Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts and jig-saw puzzles. Spoiling her pets was one of her favorite activities.
Her husband of 25 years, Richard Gregg, died in 2012. Martha is survived by Richard’s 3 children, Mark A. (Josiane Rey), Timothy A. and Meriruth S. Gregg; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Gregg; 6 grandchildren, Michael, Chris, Jr, (Leslie) Michele, Matthew (Heather), Chad (Whitney) and Colby Gregg; 9 great-grandchildren; cousin, Mary Mies; nephews, Paul B. (JoAnn), Ralph A. and James B. Baker; nieces, Lynn Pyecha (John), Krista Austin (Brent) and Ann Burger (Bob) and numerous great and great-great nieces; great and great-great nephews; the Clark family and her many close friends. She was also preceded in death by Chris A. Gregg, Sr., and 2 sisters, Helen Baker (Paul) and Dorothy Loewenthal.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, from 10-11 am at Faith Presbyterian Church, 720 Marsh Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803 where a memorial service will follow at 11 am. Inurnment will be at Chester Bethel Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Faith Presbyterian Church.
