Lennon, Jackson Robert

Jackson Robert Lennon blessed this earth on February 27, 2023 and returned to his Lord on July 18, 2023. He passed away very peacefully at home with his loved ones surrounding him. Jackson was born with a rare muscular affecting genetic condition called Myotubular Myopathy, however from Day 1 he showed he was a fighter with a heart bigger than life. After continuing to beat one prognosis after another for a month in the Nemours NICU, the decision was made to bring Jack home to make more memories.

Jackson loved looking at bright colors, watching Veggietales and The Lion Guard, and clapping his hands along to songs. Above all else, he loved his story time with Grandmom, nearly never missing a day or night, learning about the stars, dinosaurs, and history. Going for walks in his stroller and feeling the sun on his skin always made him smile, and he loved having his bassinet on the porch to listen to the birds. He loved bath time and splashing his hands in the water, and his early morning singing while laying on Daddy’s chest. Every week he looked forward to spending Saturday night with his Grandmom and Grandpop. Nothing made Jack happier than the sound of his Mommy’s voice when she would wake up every morning. Jackson will always be the happiest little boy and will always light up any room with his big gummy smile. Though his time on this earth was short, he changed so many lives. Jackson will aid in ongoing research for his condition, continuing to impact lives as they work to find a cure.

He is survived by his parents Kaylynn A. Rowe and Joshua R. Lennon; his favorite puppy, Apollo; maternal grandparents, Maryellen Rowe and Jonathan Plumback; paternal grandparents, Dottie (Klein) and Michael Lennon; great grandparents, Ann McCartney, Leonora and William, Sr. Klein; godparents Jennifer Jeffries and Vincent Barbuto; uncles and aunts, Andrew Rowe, Elena Lennon and numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at the Catalyst Community Church, 410 Denver Road, Newport, DE 19804. Doors will open at 10:30 am for friends and family to pay their respects. Luncheon to follow the service at the Chamber’s Memorial Hall, 3900 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
