Suzanne E. Cox, age 69, of Bear, DE passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023, at Christiana Hospital.
She was born and raised in Wilmington and was the only child of the late Dianne (Cooper) and Howard Cox. Suzanne graduated from Alexis I. DuPont High School in 1971.
Suzanne was known for her love of life’s simple pleasures. She spent countless hours watching the ocean waves from the Rehoboth Boardwalk, finding peace and contentment in the sounds of the sea.
Intrigued by the richness of human experiences, Suzanne often engaged in people-watching, finding amusement and understanding in the ordinary yet extraordinary narratives of everyday life.
But among all her passions, her devotion to her pets was most noteworthy. Suzanne shared her home with many dogs and cats over the years, each one receiving her boundless love and care. These loyal companions added a unique joy to her life, filling her home with warmth and unconditional love. Suzanne’s life was a testament to her love for nature, her interest in people, and her undying love for her pets.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Mark Cox, many cousins, and her life-long best friend. Suzanne is also preceded in death by her Godson, Jason Blevins and her second cousin, Deanna Wilson.
Services and burial will be held privately at the conveniences of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to any charity that supports dogs or cats.
