Hector L. Silva Aguilar was born on April 27, 1950 in Vega Alta Puerto Rico, raised in Southern Chester County and was a graduate of Avon Grove High School.
Hector L Silva Aguilar went home to be with the Lord on Monday July 3, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his parents Angelo M Silva Sr and Ramona Silva Aguilar and son Hector L. Silva Jr.
He is survived by long-time partner Arcadia Ortiz, children, Shawn Thompson (Jackie), Angi Silva, (Steve), Joey Silva, Bert Silva (Donna) and Hector Lee Silva, grandchildren, Kayla, Luis, Marco, Giovanna, Serenity Lynn and David, great grandson, Yovanni. and step-grandchildren, Scottie, Abby, Jaylen, Isabella, Destiny, Dashawn.
Hector is also survived by brother, Angel M Silva Jr (Theresa), sister, Sandra O’Connell (John) brother, Raymond E Silva (Rose), and sister, Sandy Campbell.
Hector has enjoyed his retirement from HP/Agilent Technologies, with trips to Florida, Puerto Rico and his many trips to his favorite place, Cow Town New Jersey where he was well known and liked by all vendors. Hectors favorite past times were, long rides with his children, horseshoes, playing pool and cooking a mean Spanish Pork Shoulder for family and friends and serving with Meals on Wheels.
Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Monday, July 10th at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. The viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
We know Hector has touched the lives of his family, friends, coworkers and many more, with his loving heart, joyful smile and that big sense of humor, come join us to celebrate an amazing, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. You are invited to join the family following the service at his daughter, Angi’s home.
