Adele Mirto Thorp was met by the loving arms of her husband in the home of the Lord on June 10, 2023.
Adele enjoyed retirement, reading, crosswords, spending time with family and friends and fixing her hair.
She was proceeded in death by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Dave Thorp, Sr.; parents, Albert and Edith Mirto and George ‘Vic’ and Edna Thorp.
Adele is survived by her children, Jennifer and Ed Robinson, and David Jr and Denise Thorp; grandchildren - who were the loves of her life - Bryanna (CJ) and Aliyanna (Michael) Robinson, and Lily and Grace Thorp; brothers and sisters, Joyce Mirto, Albert (Debby) Mirto, Charles (Kathy) Mirto and Elizabeth (Scott) Krieser; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service for Adele will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday June 15, 2023 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808). Friends may call from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Entombment at Cathedral Cemetery will follow.
