Dr. Pietro (Peter) Vito Rocca passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60 on May 3, 2023.
Pietro was born on June 13, 1962 in Manhattan, New York. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Iolanda Rocca. He graduated from Xavier High School. Pietro continued his education at Georgetown University, graduating with his doctorate in medicine specializing in rheumatology. He became a dedicated and respected rheumatologist, practicing for 28 years.
In addition to his parents, Pietro was predeceased by his half-sisters, Adrianna, Nina, and Vicky. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Maria, Lisa and Angela; stepsons, Nicholas and Dan Hurst; grandchildren, Gavin, Ryder, Austin, Mikayla, Sienna, Nico, and a new baby due in September.
His last act of compassion was to donate his organs, giving others another chance at life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 10, 2023 at Waynesborough Country Club, Paoli, Pennsylvania, where family and friends may visit from 10:30 -11:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pietro’s memory to: The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The DaVinci Society, The Arc, The Beethoven Foundation, Vietnam Veterans of America, or Operation Smile.
