John A. Moretti (Jack), age 81, passed away on May 2, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Chester, PA on November 30, 1941 to Victor Moretti and Josephine Barbato (Moretti). John was a member of the Delaware Air National Guard. In his early career he owned and operated Plaza Suite Coiffures hair salon then later Moretti Beauty Supply until his retirement. John enjoyed going to Delaware Park, watching old movies, car shows and anything Frank Sinatra. Most of all he loved being with his family and lunches with his life-long friends.
John was preceded in death by his brother Victor Moretti and his sister Adeline Eckert. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne Moretti, his children; Nicole Mazakas and Christine Angelini (Anthony), his grandchildren, Alexandria, Anthony Jr, Peter, Isabella, and Mia along with many loved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:30 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a memorial service will follow at 11:30 am.
