Richard W. Peake, age 75, of Wilmington, DE passed away on April 13, 2023.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and raised in Claymont, DE. Richard is the son of the late Muriel (Lloyd) and Weldon R. Peake. He graduated from Claymont High School, Salem Community College and RETS Institute.
Richard was an automotive supervisor at the former Delaware State Hospital. He then worked at Emerson Electronics as an electronic engineer.
Richard was a Mason for over 50 years at Brandywine Lodge No. 33 A.F. & A.M., a member of Delaware Consistory and NUR Shrine, and was a Past Associate Bethel Guardian of Bethel #11 Job’s Daughters.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Bringing Richard much joy, was watching his grandsons play lacrosse and football.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen; his daughter, Bronwyn Millman (Nathan) and 2 grandsons, Wesley and Lucas.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 19 from 10-11 am, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pk., Wilmington. A Masonic service will begin at 11 am, followed by the funeral service. Burial will then be at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, Atten: Finances, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
