Michael Allen Jeanfreau, age 51, of New Castle, DE passed away at his home unexpectedly on April 1, 2023.
He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. Michael attended Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School where he began his education and skills as an electrician. He later obtained his GED. Michael worked as an industrial electrician for Amtrak in Washington, D.C. He later worked for Globe Electric and then was at The Tri-M Group LLC in Kennett Square, PA.
Michael was a man of many talents including building cars, construction & refurbs and cooking. He enjoyed trains, history, the beach, F1 racing and go-carts.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Michaela Lynae Jeanfreau of New Cumberland, PA; his son, Justin Michael Jeanfreau of Hanover, PA; his two granddaughters, Valerie Jeanfreau of Hanover, PA and Evangeline Laskoski of New Cumberland, PA; his mother, Virginia Reid Jeanfreau of Newark, DE; his father, Marcel Jeanfreau, Jr. of Abbeville, LA; his sister, June Leiter of Melbourne, FL; his brother, Robert Jeanfreau of Pike Creek, DE; longtime friend, Jennifer Furey of New Castle, DE and his nephew, Kyle Jeanfreau of Lexington Park, MD.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8 from 2-3pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE. Services and Burial will be held privately.
