Dorothy Marie Wolfe passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023 at Christiana Hospital. She had just celebrated her 96th birthday on February 15th.
Dorothy was born in 1927 in Weadon, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Arden, Delaware. She graduated from P.S. duPont High School and in 1947 she married Edward F. Wolfe, Jr. They lived in the Wilmington area where she was a homemaker.
Dorothy loved square dancing and to dance to Big Band music. She was an avid gardener and loved to be outside caring for plants. She also enjoyed golfing and was proud of her two hole-in-ones. Her faith in God was steadfast.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie; her parents, Margaret (Charbonnier) and Richard Ernest Herrmann; and her siblings, Richard and Margaret. She is survived by her son, Gerald R. Wolfe and his wife, Linda C.; grandson, Kurt Wolfe, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be graveside at Gracelawn Cemetery on March 29th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to your favorite charity. The family appreciates the care provided by Cely at Nurturing Angels and the Bayada Hospice team.
