Anna “Ann” Marie (Masciantonio) Trasatto of Cary, NC, age 95, passed away on March 14, 2032 at Transitions Life Care hospice in Raleigh, NC after a long illness. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas “Nick” Trasatto and daughter Carol, brothers John, William and Phillip Masciantonio, Jr., and sister Clara Desiderio. She is survived by her son Steven and daughter-in-law Doris (Taylor) of Cary, NC; grandson James Trasatto of Durham, NC, brother-in-law Feriz Delkic of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann grew up on a farm in Brandywine Summit, PA. After graduating from West Chester High School, Ann worked for a short time in the insurance department of at T. B. O’Toole Real Estate office at the DuPont building in Wilmington, DE. After marriage, she dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife and mother, was a Girl Scout leader, was active in the PTAs of Padua Academy and Salesianum School, the Oak Hill Civic Association, and a member of the Junior Board of St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. She resided in Wilmington for over 50 years before moving to Cary, NC.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 23 beginning at 10:30 AM followed by a service at 11:30 AM at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home at 3924 Concord Pike in Wilmington, DE 19803. Burial will be immediately after the service at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery. At the service we will also be remembering Ann’s daughter Carol who died in 2019.
