Thelma D. Meginniss, age 93 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023. She was born and raised in Wilmington and was the daughter of the late Edna (Price) and Ray Dickson. Thelma graduated from P.S. DuPont High School and attended Goldey Beacom College.
Thelma was a homemaker and a skilled cook, gardener and seamstress. She was an active member of Hanover Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Female Harmony Society. Thelma was also active in the P.S. DuPont Alumni Association.
Her husband of 43 years, Edward C. Meginniss III, died in 1993. Thelma is survived by her 3 children, Susan Vitale (Paul), Ray Meginniss (Karen) and John Meginniss (Cathy); 3 grandchildren, Kim, Tammy and Nathan and 2 great-grandsons, Jack and Luke.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 13 at 10:30 at Hanover Presbyterian Church, 1801 N. Jefferson St., Wilmington, DE 19802 where friends may call after 10 am. Burial will be held privately after a reception at the church.
