Sewell C. Grier, age 82 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
He was born and raised in Marcus Hook, PA and was the son of the late Ruth Bonsall (Truitte) and Ralph Leo Grier, Sr. Sewell graduated from Ridley Park High School in 1958. He also received an Associate Degree at Goldey-Beacom College.
Sewell was a Technician at Sun Shipbuilding & Drydock Company and later at Boeing Vertol.
In his earlier years, he enjoyed archery, woodworking, and ice dancing. Sewell also enjoyed boating, crabbing and fishing. He was a member of the Delaware County Field & Stream Association and Penn-Del Archers.
Sewell’s wife of 60 years, Wanda E. (Perry) Grier died July 3, 2022. He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth (wife Lorraine) and Steven (wife Christine), and six grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Ralph L. Grier, Jr.
