Timothy Donnelly, age 56, died at Wilmington Hospital on February 14, 2023 after a brief illness. Tim was a graduate of Brandywine High School (1984) and attended the University of Delaware and Drexel University.
Tim’s greatest joy in life were his two daughters Emma and Abby.
Tim coached his daughters’ basketball and volleyball teams at Saint Mary Magdalen, and loved attending any sporting event his daughters, nieces, or nephew were competing in. He spent the last few years at the Brandywine YMCA where he enjoyed working and made lasting friendships.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Patrick P. Donnelly. He is survived by his daughters Emma and Abby Donnelly, mother Betty P. Donnelly, sisters Cindy Donnelly and Linda Donnelly, brother Mark Donnelly (Karin), nephew Keelan Donnelly and nieces Maya Coghlan (Ken) and Kayden Donnelly.
Visitation will begin Friday, February 17 at 10 am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 7 Sharpley Rd., Wilmington, DE. A eulogy will be offered at 10:50 with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Interment will take place at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Tim’s name to the Saint Mary Magdalen School Athletic Association, 9 Sharpley Rd., Wilmington, DE 19803.
