Wesley P. Teagle, age 88, of Newark, DE formerly of Southfield, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
He was born and raised in Queens, New York and was the son of the late Callie and Wesley Teagle. Wesley graduated from Flushing High School in 1952. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.
Wesley was a correction officer for the State of New York for 15 years. He then became a real estate agent for Long Island Homes for 10 years. After retirement Wesley move to Michigan to be close to his family. He then moved to Delaware in 2020.
He enjoyed playing ping-pong and pool.
Wesley’s wife of 68 years, Lillian died in 2018. He is survived by his 2 sons, Perry K. Teagle, William Mark Teagle and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson. He is also preceded in death by his 2 daughters, Carol Hill and Shelia Teagle.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 15 from 10:30 to 11:30 am at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE where a funeral service will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will then be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE
