Donna Wadman Ellis, age 72, of Wilmington, DE passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
She was born and raised Wilmington, DE and was the daughter of the late Harvey and Irene Wadman. Donna graduated from Brandywine High School in 1968. She was a secretary for Red Clay Consolidated School District where she was a secretary working in various offices. Donna retired in 2014 after 20 plus years.
She enjoyed playing solitaire, word searches and watching Blue Bloods & NCIS marathons and was an avid reader. Bringing Donna the most joy was her time spent with her friends and especially time with her family and her dogs at home or at her beach house in Lewes, DE.
Her husband of 46 years, Thomas R. Ellis, Sr. died in 2020. Donna is survived by her 2 children, Kelly Ellis and Thomas R. Ellis, Jr. (Barbara Fenimore); 3 siblings, Harvey R. Wadman, Kathy Watson and Laurie Brodie and a niece, Caroline Brodie.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 17 beginning at 10 am at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington DE 19808, where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
