Ethel M. Gerber, 88 , of Wilmington Delaware, went home to be with the Lord, December 28,2022 at her daughter’s home surrounded by family.
Wife of the late Mahlon Gerber; mother of Charles O’Grady, Robert Gerber (Charlotte) and Mary Manelski (Robert). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Nicole Manelski, Jonathan Manelski, David Gerber and one great-grandchild, Jax Michael Minker. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Clinton Brian O’Grady, three brothers and five sisters.
Ethel was known to all as a kind and generous person, a caring friend and wonderful mother and grandmother. Her hobbies were gardening, boating and crabbing. She enjoyed watching late night television, and truly adored her two cocker spaniels.
She worked as a waitress at 20th Century Grill in the 60’s, Howard Johnson’s, Kirkwood Highway in the 70’s and Arner’s Restaurant in the 80’s.
