Thaddeus J. Manelski (Ted), (June 16, 1928-December 14, 2022), of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully December 14, 2022. Ted was the son of the late John and Hedwig Manelski of Wilmington, DE. Ted was very proud of his lifetime achievements. He was a decorated veteran of the Korean War, awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, and 2 Purple Hearts. He also was a retiree of the U.S. Postal service since 1986, after completing 30 years of service. In addition, he was a member of V.F.W, D.A.V, N.A.R.F.E., and the H. Weston Senior Center. He also enjoyed an occasional visit to Delaware Park.
Ted is survived by his sister, Sandra Manelski of Ocean Pines, MD, his brother, Henry Manelski of Wilmington, DE, and his brother, John Manelski of Milton, DE. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Manelski, of Wilmington, DE. Ted wanted to extend his sincere gratitude to his 3 nieces and their husbands, Kathy and Michael Puit, Sharon and Glenn Caskey, and Monica and Ed Gibson, all of whom were very fond of him. Services will be private at a later date.
