Flood, Carol

Carol B. Flood was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 9, 1922. Her remarkable 100 years encompassed a marriage to her beloved high school sweetheart, Wallace, who preceded her in death in 2007. A devoted pastor’s wife, she participated in countless church and community activities. Highly creative and a lover of the arts, she especially enjoyed gardening, needlework, a range of craftwork and sang in several choral groups. She would enthusiastically recount memories of the couple’s travels, both domestically and abroad.

Carol is survived by daughters, Jan Garber and Nancy Hein, and grandchildren Erin, Lauren, Meredith, Jonathan and Gail. She took immense pride and delight in her five great-grandchildren. She endured the loss of her son, James, through her abiding faith in the Lord. Carol will be remembered for radiant smile, her limitless kindness and grace, and steadfast faith.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, in the chapel at Maris Grove, Glen Mills, PA.

Memorial donations can be made to the Maris Grove Resident Fund.
